Sea Point Rotary Fund Raiser 2010 and Prize Winners

2010/04/11

The selection of winners for Sea Point Rotary and Inner Wheel's Raffle Fund Raiser was quite unique. It all depended on the aim of para-gliders dropping golf balls as close to a target as possible.

Prize winners were determined by writing ticket numbers on golf balls which were handed over to members of Birdmen Paragliding. The para-gliders released their parcel of golf balls while gliding over the fields of Glen Country club, aiming to drop their parcel of golf balls as close to a pin as possible. The closest ball landed about 8 cm from the target.

Sea Point Rotary members then read the numbers off the balls, beginning with the ball closest to the pin. The winner was Agnes Guta and she won a trip to Zanzibar, courtesy of One Time.
