City of Cape Town Grant for Blue Train
2009/10/05
Sea Point Rotary members are pleased to advise that the R30,000.00 Grant in Aid from the City of Cape Town towards the Blue
Train has been received.
Sea Point Rotary successfully hosted over 900 kids from the 7/09/09 to the 23/09/09 from:
Crossroads, Rocklands, Khayelitsha, Philippi,Langa, Mitchels Plain, Elsies River and Nyanga!
We have been collecting e-mails from visitors to the Train for our 'Blue Train Kidz Club' (Almost 100
members now and growing).
Although the Train was not working there was more than enough to do with:
Soccer, Jumping Castle, Face Painting, Rock Climbing, Bubbles and sitting in the Train.
(None of the schools wished to cancel their bookings)
A big thank you to Andrew for arranging a donation of 6 umbrellas for the blue-train area.
Max, Acton and Melvin all learnt the skill of Face Painting, and Max has become an expert Bubble maker!
